The Parish Council

Weston Underwood Council comprises of 5 Councillors who are elected every four years. The next election is on Thursday May 1st 2012.

A Parish Councillor must be aged 18 years or over, be a British Subject, a citizen of the Irish Republic or a citizen of a member state of the European Union and be a local government elector of the parish. He/she must live in the parish or within a 3 mile radius, or during the same period had his/her principal or only place of work in that area.

The Parish Council meeting takes place on the second Monday of each month, unless otherwise agreed, at 8.00pm in Weston Underwood Village Hall The Annual Town Meeting will take place on Monday 20th April 2009 at 8.00 p.m. and the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Monday 11 May 2009.

Members of the public can attend all meetings. There is a 15 minute Open Forum at the end of the meeting when members of the public are invited to address the Council.
